Just some images from my beautiful yard today.  As a mom of two very young kids, not every day is a good day but today was darn near PERFECT.

 

 

 

 

 

Impromptu visitors

My sister and her girls took a nice little trip up north to come visit us yesterday.  It was a nice little impromptu trip that was MORE THAN WELCOME.  Tanner has so much fun playing with his cousins and they provide him with more stimulation and entertainment than boring old mommy could any day.  It is also so fun to see my nieces and hang out with my sister.  It was just an overnight trip and they left this afternoon but those girls sure did pack in as much fun as they could while they were here.  Sadie even held Emmy Lu so I could enjoy the lake a little bit this morning.  What a treat!!!  I am glad they live only 1.5 hours away and can come visit on days like this.

He also had to play on this floating dock section just like the big kids do.

MN Summer

We have been LOVING LOVING LOVING this glimpse of MN summer.  Today we even swam in the lake for the first time this year.  Tanner is a water baby and just couldn’t get enough.  It was hot hot hot, sunny and NO wind which is sort of amazing for a big lake like ours.  We spent the afternoon living it up, cleaning the beach and playing in the water.  No wonder Tanner has been taking 3 hour naps every afternoon and sleeping from 8pm-8am…he is one busy boy.  I like to stay busy too…time to start getting this baby thinking about moving out soon :)

I have a feeling that even if these “perfect” days are few and far between, I will still have a pretty excellent summer :)

Summer is here

After a VERY LONG winter and spring here in the northland, summer finally showed it’s beautiful face today-complete with enough humidity and heat to make the sleekest hair frizz out.  It even caused this preggo’s so-far rather un-swollen feet take a puffy turn for the worse.  That’s ok though, I’ll take it!!!  Tonight we capped off the summery day with a sunset pontoon ride before Tanner went to bed.  He LOVED it.  “Grandpa La La” even let him drive.  What a lucky little boy.
